If you truly believe Kaepernick's stats aren't above average, I beg to disagree.

And it’s predicted to go right back up again. And there is certainly no reason to believe that K had anything to do with it going way up or down. Although I am sure that would fit your narrative

No narrative. NIKE stock plummeted immediately after the announcement of the commercial.

If he was worth a crap, someone would have signed him by now. He’s not a NFL caliber QB. At best he’s a backup.

The top Dow stock of 2018 just hit a record high, and the run could be just beginning 5:39 PM ET Thu, 20 Sept 2018 | 03:54

Nike shares just sprinted to an all-time high, and some market watchers foresee even bigger gains.
The athletic apparel company is the best-performing stock in the Dow Jones Industrial Average this year, up 36 percent and far outpacing peers like Foot Locker and Skechers.
The bulk of its gains have come in just the last three months — 14 percent. The stock quickly recouped losses earlier this month in a move sparked by an advertisement featuring former quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who started the NFL "take a knee protest" against racial inequality in America.
Yeah...your information is a bit dated and biased.

The markets don't care who the President is. here is the list of returns for last 15 presidents https://www.forbes.com/sites/johndor.../#3fb2f3736644

3 presidents had negative cumulative returns during their term. All the rest averaged at least 9.8% annualized. Everyone needs to keep Politics out of their portfolio.

    Hoover (beginning of Great Depression)
    George W - 9/11 & 2008
    Nixon - well Nixon

But then sales rose 30% after the release of the commercial. Stocks are down at Nike because of the industry being dominated by LuLuLimon at Adidas not because of the ad. The Ad was considered a huge success among the youth that actually buy the stuff

We aren't talking about Adidas and most of the market. We are talking about NIKE.

You need to decide what your argument is. You said the drop had nothing to do with Kapernick. It did. I never said the stock did not climb back.

FWIW, it was false advertising. He didn't sacrifice anything. He quit.

I thought ALL stocks were down due to unpredictable leadership in our country. Am I wrong? Neither the NFL nor Nike has been negatively affected by Kap's ad. That Kap is unemployable is a disappointment. He was a competitor and a blue-chip athlete. How many #1 draft picks go bust? Kap, who wasn't a #1 draft pick, didn't go bust.

Shares of Nike (NKE - Free Report) have fallen roughly 12% over the last three months as part of the larger market decline. Yet, the sportswear powerhouse has quickly revamped its business to focus on direct-to-consumer sales and has returned to growth in North America as it continues to expand around the globe.

First paragraph of you own link:

"Shares of Nike (NKE - Free Report) have fallen roughly 12% over the last three months as part of the larger market decline. Yet, the sportswear powerhouse has quickly revamped its business to focus on direct-to-consumer sales and has returned to growth in North America as it continues to expand around the globe."

By the way, BROOKS running shoes fit much better, lasts longer and look better. But you have to be a bad ass athlete to wear 'em. They are not for wussies and Kaepernick supporters.
