Burt Reynolds died this morning of cardiac arrest at the age of 82. He was a big star in the 1970's and early 80's. Not too mention he was married to Loni Anderson for a few years.

Wow!
Hogdawg is getting old(er).
He was a funny guy and I enjoyed his Smokey and the Bandit stuff. IMO, his best stuff was from the late 50s and early 60s when he was on Gunsmoke.
Burt Reynolds and Clint Eastwood were fired from Gunsmoke and Rawhide at the same time. Burt was told he couldn't act and Clint that his neck was too skinny. In the parking lot, Burt said to Clint, "I dunno what you're going to do, but I'm gonna take acting lessons."
Not sure what either did, but it certainly worked out for both. I always liked Burt, but Clint is on the short list of my all-time favorite actors. Just an FYI, Clint is 88 years old.
Everyone mentions Reynolds and Lee Corso ran around together at FlaState. The third wheel in that Seminole football team group was Bill Graham of Ruston.
