Shorten the game. Run the play clock down every offensive play....run the ball 2-3 yds and a cloud of dust. Complete some passes in key situations. Need some turnovers....Defense can’t give up the big play.....special teams have to be on point. Be consistent and stick to the game plan even if we get behind early.

This. Look at NSU beating us a few years ago. They were conservative and patient, completed a few big passes, waited for us to screwup, then were in our hands and had the advantage. I'm usually a be aggressive type, but I think their defense is so athletic we aren't going to do much, so we need to hope they beat themselves.

We had 5 silly, unforced turnovers, and a bunch of other goofy, unforced plays. Not to mention the "untimely" penalties we suffered. Trent Taylor was fair catching a punt, falls backwards for some unknown reason, and leaves the ball just sitting there. Dixon breaks off a 20 yard run for a 1st down that would have clinched the game, but instead, he fumbles even though he was tackled around the knees, no hit on the ball.

NSU was so patient, that they game planned FIVE stupid giveaways to them? Shrewd....

Then J'Mar needs to be smart enough to read that blitz. Remember that "slant" pass I mentioned earlier? It's burn city on LSU's defense if J'Mar reads it correctly, and throws the slant pass QUICKLY, right behind the rushing DE/LB coming in from the outside.

This play works. The NE Patriots use it all the time. Joe Montana made it famous with the 49ers when defenses were bearing down on him.

Actually, I believe just the opposite. UNT ran a "hurry up" offense against Arkansas, and ran their plays as soon as the officials put the ball down. It worked. Arkansas ended up looking out of breadth, and unorganized on defense. But then again, I know this isn't Sonny Dykes' LA Tech offense. A Dykes team (from Tech) could run a "hurry up" offense and succeed. Skip just doesn't think that fast.
