Might as well go back to 1904.

There is no bad PR, they say. No one would have cared, even one iota, if we had scored and made the final score closer, and no one would have even remembered that game. But! Tech Football is famous....or infamous! for this play. Embrace it.

Good hustle by Powell. If you want to blame someone for this embarrassment, it's all on the QB, Smith.
And just as suspected Skip had no play ready for the old 3rd and 93 situation.

Tech has such a play in the playbook, but Holtz has dumbed-down the playbook for Smith's benefit. They had not ever practiced that play, with Smith, so Rattay said they didn't try it that night.

Earlier in the game, we faced a 4th and goal and Smith fumbled which resulted in a 90 yard fumble return. All the sunshine pumpers could harp on was Smith didn't have any INTs that night, but conveniently passed over all the fumbling, bumbling, stumbling he did.

I think everyone noticed. Smith was having his worst night possible. The kind of night our QBs would have against USM the two years prior.

LSU will run through our D like a hot knife through butter. We couldn't stop the run last year, we let S Alabama run for 200+ yards so just imagine what lsu will do. It will be like Rice in 2003 all over again most likely.

Geeez.......take a breath. I'm sitting here on my sofa watching G5 Troy beat P5 Nebraska on the road 17-7. Troy may lose, but it CAN be done. There's no need to automatically assume the absolute worst.

You do know we're talking about Skip Holtz and La Tech here, right?

I think HD is saying, Troy can beat Neb, just like they did LSU. As for Holtz's Bunch....well....

Looking at W-L and ignore the performances? KSU, Arkansas, and USC have all been competitive games, MSU last year we were run off the field in one of these games, but unfortunately we ran ourselves off with turnovers more than they did. Once things fell apart, we crumbled. As long as things don’t start falling apart- we play well in those games. Limiting turnovers will keep confidence up on offense.

I hope our receivers spent some extra time working against press coverage in the off week. LSU, and most SEC defenses, don’t allow you to complete the short, easy throws. They are all contested.

Devin white is too damn good. And alongside him, the #1 linebacker in the nation. Two five star corners, one will be the first corner selected this coming draft. And the D Line is absolutely scary. We definitely have our work cut out for us. Haven’t seen anyone move the ball at all this year. They’re taking it to Auburn.

Auburn took a minute to get rolling, but it could get ugly quick.

LSU just lost its starting strong safety Battle for the first half next week on an obvious targeting call. And Battle's backup just got dinged up.

We would have to play a perfect game and have some luck to win this one.
