I was there too. There was a liquid substance falling from the sky on section 305. But ok.
I went to Tiger rant to see what they thought of the team. Kinda threw up in my mouth when I came across a thread stating, “As a life time lsu fan and Tech grad, this could not have gone any better.” Oh well, even some Tech grads may not be able to be helped.
I believe this is the replay info

Announcing a sellout means LSU ticket office had no more to sell.
Driving up to the stadium there were more hawkers with "Need to buy tickets" than "Tickets for sale."
As for the empty (sold) seats . . . well, they were SOLD. . . just like home side at Tech home games.

I don't remember seeing any shots of Tech fans during the telecast. I was disappointed in that. Did there seem like there was many Tech fans there?
How was everyone's experience this time in Baton Rouge, actually? I hadn't heard if the tailgating scene was nice this go 'round or what. What was the Tiger Stadium experience like? I haven't been in years. I was going to go there this time, but was too busy. I've had very mixed experiences there as a visitor.
One tigger fan claims there was a drunk Tech fan, at a Tech tailgate, shouting "whore" at women walking by. Of course, that has led many on Tiger Rant to believe that drunk represents all "toothless, hillbilly" Tech fans.
In fairness, some LSU fans, on Tiger Rant provided other experiences. And a few chimed in with: well, our drunken fans say that and worse!
We had a great time (except for the score). Food was great at my brother's group's tailgate (Usual Suspects) catered by the Rum House (yum!). We got to go on the field pregame (see pics elsewhere) even though they said no one was allowed on the field due to the weather delay pregame (teams did not get to fully warm up). We only got a couple of "Tiger Baits" - the first one scared the crap out of my boys. The fans around us were nice enough - one LSU fan gave me a high five during the game because my son & I were cheering loud and proud. We were close to the student section which prompted my youngest to call them "vulgar!"
All in all, I had no complaints about the experience this time around. They had a nice Kids Zone set up pregame that we hit before we went into the stadium. My youngest also made the local news!
