I see that Kiffin and Ed O. are big buds. Together they HATE Saban more than any other two douchebags combined. Kiffin is Tweeting all kinds of Go Tiggers stuff.
Reminder: game tonite on ESPN, FAU at UCF #16.
Here's a chance for CUSA to at least get relevant again. Don't like 'em, but have to root for the Fightin' Kiffins, for no other reason than they wear the CUSA patch.
Here is a thought , if the fitting kittens (Kiffen 's) win maybe a P5 will hire him!
I can’t route for that douche bag Kiffin.
Darn 78 yards, 5 plays, 1:03. Otherwise the defending national champions would be losing at halftime.
Refs just missed a huge intentional grounding play against the national champions.
Holy crap
This has gotten ugly. Guess the respect for CUSA comes tomorrow night in Baton Rouge.
Hope y'all are still awake and watching the USC-Wash State game. Very entertaining, back and forth.
As for FAU....disappointing performance. But they are 2-2 with both losses to ranked opponents on the road. I suppose things will get a LOT EASIER once they get into CUSA play.
I wasn't impressed with FAU or UCF tonight. Neither team played any defense at all. It was ridiculous. I'll bet UCF fell for the same "trap play left" (kind of a back side handoff to the left side) 50 times tonight, and never did stop it. It looked like two teams interested in nothing but offense.
I watched the last few minutes of the FAU game. I don't think I ever knew which way the ball was going. That misdirection allowed FAU to pull so close. Kiffin ran the same play 3 times in a row!! It worked twice for 10 yards!
UCF's final first half drive was utter beauty. I remember those days of effortless offense...
I love watching a good running attack. Guess that's why I'm such a huge fan of Navy, and of Army and Air Force too. Back several years ago Navy went to Columbus to take on the #1 ranked and cruising and bruising Buckeyes....and Navy's attack torched 'em to the tune of 350 yds rushing and 5 TDs, or something close to that. Ohio State won the game, 52-38, I think was the final. But those little Navy guys, 260lb OL, could not be stopped.
I like the old Winged-T misdirection offense. Since no one has used it in decades, it would probably work, at least until opposing DCs got enough video of it.
Misdirection and traps still works though. Can't build a whole offense around it since defenses today are so athletic and so fast. But, as part of an overall scheme, Pow! I know an offense can pop some big running plays using it. Actually, LSU is exactly the type of defense it would work best against. Their DL and LBs are so quick, that they can be suckered....quick....
43 Power Trap
that was one of my favorite plays when I played in junior high. I was TE, so I got to deliver the blindside block on the DT, that sprung the trap. Used to love clobbering that poor kid!
