IF Holtz and his coaching staff approach the UNT game with the intent to destroy them from start to finish then Tech probably barely manages to prevail in a victory. IF Tech show up following Holtz’s most familiar recipe of playing a game, go at it conservatively, don’t risk much, wait and hope your opponent makes more mistakes than your team does, keep it close and win it late, we probably won’t.

The players have the capability to win but only if they’re unbridled. When you start the game being held back it’s really tough to snap out of it until you look up and you’re three scores behind.

Turn the Dawgs loose for a change and let’s see what happens.

Good thing coach has more understanding of football. we played it his way and won -- folks around me were upset about field goal (15 points) and being down early -I kept saying if we can put 21 points in a row against LSU we can do it to NT. we held them to 6 points in second half. What that tells me is we had a brilliant game plan . your post was right on of how we played and wrong big time about outcome .. for what its woth I put $$ on Tech and never in doubt ( 2 point lead and 7 point spread =covered with 9 to spare)-- try to avoid the trap of under valuing our our coaches and the depth our roster these days -- Go Dogs now we need to avoid let down over next 2 weeks ( yeah, I am totally ignoring UTEP )

Well, that's what you get when you actually BEAT an SEC team early in the season. UNT did that at Arkansas. That gets fans excited, because they think they are finally getting a product equivalent to the big boys.

LA Tech should try it sometime. Quit being a doormat to every SEC team we play. We still have a trip to Starkville coming up. Maybe we'll actually try to win this one.

Football fans will come to game no matter what -- Beating SEC teams with 80 million football budget on the road is pipe dream! I have had a few of those dreams come true but losing to them has ZERO impact on real fan base. I am getting really tired of you belittling our players-- same guys play their heart out every game and you think they do not try to win

You'll get over it. It's not my fault LA Tech got down 24-0 before showing a pulse in Baton Rouge. Just curious. Who exactly DO you blame that on?
