This is rich! Two of the biggest smack talkers on the board complaining about footballs thrown too hard! 🤣
No, I can’t catch them, but I also never got a scholarship to catch footballs!
Is touch nice? Sure. Should balls with extra stank be caught...yes.
Geez, how are we gonna make America great when y’all are trying to pussify football?!
Yea, throw the ball with a little touch so the defender has more time to jump in front of the ball!
Drew Brees could possibly own all career passing marks when he is finished playing football. All except most interceptions thrown, "that guy" also holds that record. That record (career interceptions) will never be broken by anyone. It is as safe as Cy Young's 511 wins and his 749 complete games. As safe as Cal Ripken's 2,632 consecutive games played.
Some of those passes thrown, by "that guy", with a lack of touch caused the ball to be batted up in the air. When this happens it is possible for a player from the opposite team to catch the otherwise uncatchable pass. We call that an interception, the end result being the other team now has the ball and is on offense. Hint hint touch is pretty important for a QB.
By the way, Drew Brees is also known to have a great touch, as he throws some of the most catchable balls in NFL history. He is also the most accurate passer in NFL history, but that is another lesson for another day.
how about this? Why don't QBs just throw the ball to a location, with the right velocity, so it can be caught?

Holy cow! After all these years and thousands of pictures we discover you were in the wrong role. Put the camera down and grab a set of headphones. You are the new passing game coordinator. Same pay though. Good luck and, by the way, we need to score about 35-40 points Saturday!
There is a time and place for both type passes. Only a savvy QB would know that, or in the least, learn that over time. I remember Terry as well ('66-'68) You imply Terry only knew how to throw bullet passes. Not true. He knew when to put touch on passes. He was most notably known for his accuracy on long throws, something our current QB is getting better at, using the last game as a measuring stick. I hope our current QB puts it all together and ends up the #1 pick of the NFL next year like Terry.
#1 overall pick? In the NFL draft? Smith?
I hope I hit the Powerball....odds are 7 billion to 1.
