Renewed my season tickets this year (4 box seats) against my better judgement, having left every home game early last year (previously unthinkable). I'll never again purchase a season ticket as long as Skippy is H.C. at LA Tech. Mark it down.
Most boring game (vs uab) I've ever watched. Left at halftime, and listened on the radio to the second half while driving home. Was thinking all the way home how much simpler it would be to just stay home and listen to the game or watch it on (puke!!!) farcebook.
Smith's espn qbr for the game was 8.4, about as piss poor as you can get. Rock Star, my arse. How/why he is the starting qb for LA Tech I cannot imagine. I have ZERO interest in traveling to Ruston to watch J'Mar qb our football team.
I know a number of long-time supporters who didn't renew season tickets this year and who have completely quit coming to games. From what I'm hearing, these numbers will grow going forward.
Guess that's what you get when you hire a southland a.d.
Sad situation.
You are so right, we had no pulse let alone up tempo . Start Aaron Allen now!
Because of the UAB game my brother from Houston has nearly had enough, which would knock me down 2 season tickets. That would put me at half of what I was buying 4 years ago.
I had made up my mind to go to Hattiesburg after the UNT game but now if we're not in contention I won't go. And if we lose to UTSA this weekend, it's unlikely we'll be in the hunt.
What is it with Coach Holtz that keeps him from making adjustments? Play calling, personnel, overall game plans. He's like J'mar in that he locks in on something and that's all he sees. Having said that, it makes me realize there are a lot of similarities between how each handles their jobs. Everything about them says they should do a great job but the eye test and results say they are missing something critical to be really successful.
If ever there was a year we should have gotten this far into a season and been 6 & 1, this is it. That offensive effort Saturday night was pathetic and I put it on Holtz for not trying something different on offense. And J'mar is not the answer to our QB woes. He's a nice guy but doesn't have the ability to do the normal multi-tasking a college QB must be able to do with acceptable proficiency at game speed. He just doesn't.
I hope the team surprises me and I'd like nothing better than to see us run the table. But after the UAB game, I have a bad feeling about UTSA and what losing that game would do to our season.
Every team now has the blueprint on how to beat us and if we will not change there will be no need to travel to any away game. We might only beat UTEP .
I've gotta decide today if I wanna fork over the cash and then take Park-N-Ride to the UTSA game on Saturday... This was a no-brainer before, but now I really might have potentially something better to spend my money on... I can't believe it's come to this, but I just don't put myself in situations that I strongly feel will just upset me, like I used to. Anxiety is a real thing. I'd rather enjoy my weekend........ Tickets to UTSA or no................................................ ..
You can get tickets for 17 each , get them and if it's terrible just leave at half time . We can't be that bad again, we have shown against LSU we can be a good football team.
Will doctors do a colonoscopy on weekends? If so, I may schedule one late in the day Saturday so I am still groggy around game time.
