This is such a shame. I was looking forward to more live, in-person Tech football again after moving back to San Antonio from Des Moines. I could end up back in Des Moines in a year or so, so I hoped this would be a good season. Now I don't even know if I want to spend the money on tickets at the game vs UTSA, when I could just go enjoy my hockey season tickets here that day...
Love college football and love LA TECH, just not La Tech football right now, just cannot bear to watch. I need to find a new hobby.
This is my Daughters first year at Tech, along with some of her friends we influenced to go to Tech, I sure hate to see them have to watch this disappointment during Freshmen year.
Haven't seen D65 or Pawdawg post today...did they run off and elope?
Rhino too......
Some of y'all really need some perspective. My freshmen year at Tech we went 3-9. We lost 54-10 to Kansas State. We lost 67-7 to Penn State. We lost to Stephen F. Austin at home. That was a miserable season. At least we had some hope with a young freshman QB who became the starter midway through the season and stood toe to toe with Auburn and Miami. At least we beat both ULL and ULM that year. But that team was much worse than this one. This team went down to Baton Rouge and battled. Just last weekend, this team beat the division favorite. We didn't show up to play yesterday. It's so frustrating to look as awful as we did, but we aren't the only team in the country to lay an egg this year. Welcome to college football.
During my five football seasons as a Tech student, we went a combined 25-35. We had some great players in Luke McCown and Ryan Moats. We played an excited brand of football. We also weren't very good. My fandom survived. The kids today can survive this.

I am really glad the Sunshine pumpers have stayed away, this board is not a good place for them right now, there are several here who would immediately take them to task if they were to comment. It is a good quality to have a positive attitude, but it is time that some woke up and smelled the "$h*t show" we have going on here with this team, coaching staff, and AD.
HD, I do not even know HD other than on this board and that we agree on a lot, as a matter of fact, most everything. I would venture to say he has stayed away, as like many of us, he does not need the spike in his blood pressure today.
Have you watched this team play? I’m amazed that anyone would PAY to watch this crap. It’s the most boring football I’ve ever watched in my life. Hats off to those that have a stomach for that kind of thing. If this crap makes someone WANT to be a Tech fan, they need their heads examined. 5 years in the worst league in the nation, and we’ve managed to outpace UTEP.... if you really want to see just how terrible Holtz is, look at the NFL talent he’s had since he’s been here, and what that’s translated into. That’s all you need to see.
Did you go to the LSU game? I watched that one in person, and if you can honestly describe that as "boring" football, then I don't think you know how football should be played. We followed that up by beating North Texas, the team expected to win our division. Yes, Saturday night absolutely sucked. It was awful. But you can't allow that one game to wipe out the other games. They exist, too.

How do you explain the total dominance of the UAB defensive line or the complete collapse of our offensive line ? Just looking for some hope for the rest of our games.
It wasn’t just the d-line. It was the quality coverage paired with an indecisive QB and a coach who refuses to run anything that doesn’t take forever to develop. You want hope? I got nothing.
How about perspective? Our record is exactly what most thought it would be at this point and the two best teams left on the schedule aren’t nearly as good as we feared.
We’re not a great football team...we’re not as bad as the post loss meltdowners say either.
Like everything, the truth is somewhere in the middle.
