Oregon won
Back to CUSA for a moment...
the east is wide opened. Marshall, MTSU, FAU and now FIU are the contenders, but they will probably beat up each other, and lose a game they shouldn't, meaning the east division champion will be no better than 6-2, maybe 5-3. So! most likely the west champion will host the CG. And that means....Birmingham. You can't make this stuff up.
If we win out the rest of our games in conference and UAB loses to North Texas, what is the tie breaker? Best overall record or head to head. UAB beat us, UNT beat them, we beat UNT. UAB West champion?
My guess is best ranking. If that happens, Holtz will vote for UAB
It would be the honest thing to do. Frankly, I don't see UAB losing a CUSA game. They should run the table 8-0.
Back to UTSA for a moment....I feel for many of their fans. In fact, they sound like us! Realism mixing in with a heartfelt desire that your favorite team was good. That's all, just wish to be a fan of a GOOD team. Not an unreasonable desire. But here's the part that invoked my feeling sorry for 'em...one of their fans posted "WE ARE OWNED BY SKIP HOLTZ!" Egad! How bad does it have to be when your program's daddy is Skip Holtz!? I have one piece of advice for them....drop football!
FIU held on take a win over MTSU 24-21. Stockstill went out with a high ankle sprain. His backup played well but threw an interception in the endzone in the final minute of the game. FIU now leads the east.

4. If still tied, compare records against divisional opponents in descending order of finish.
5. If still tied, compare records with common cross-divisional opponents.
6. If still tied, compare records against cross-divisional opponents in descending order of finish.
7. If still tied, team with highest BCS ranking.
8. If still tied, the representative will be the team that has not participated in the championship game most recently.
9. If at any point the tie is broken in a multiple team tie, the remaining teams will begin the process again at #2.
