1. This is absolutely one of the most embarrassing things we do, especially if you bring guest. I cannot adequately put it into words how embarrassing it is.
2. You would have to have a full stadium to get any good out of this at all, for the most part a full HIGH SCHOOL Stadium for it to work.
3. A Non-Elmer Fudd sounding voice would be nice. (Not trying to be cruel here, just a fact)
Or the admin just doesnt have an issue with it.
Leave the stadium at halftime for shots.
I will say they did away with Robken's parade of senior band members up the stairs. Probably had more to do with the the new addition than breaking tradition, but still...
When I was in school they tried to start a new cheer where we shouted the letters, but I remember it being a very strange beat and the spacing of the letters being weird.
L.....O.U...I...…...SI..A...…..NA....
I don't honestly remember how it went, but it died very quickly as no one could anticipate when the next letter was coming and the spacing made it hard to determine what we were trying to spell.
The 300 was 150 soy boys running around in skirts. They never would have been seen in public in Sparta, so yes it was embarassing.
Yup, it's "L-O-U", "I-S-I", "A-N-A", Tech, Dawgs!
Not gonna lie, it's how I remember the spelling of Louisiana.
That one I know and like actually. That's how I taught my son to spell Louisiana (and how I remind myself)
That's not what I was referencing. The one I am talking about had the band playing and was very sporadic with the letters.
LOU - ISI -ANA TECH DAWGS has a rhythm to it. The one I am referencing did not - at least as far as I could tell.
I'll also add that I honestly have no idea what they were spelling to this day. I used Louisiana because that makes more sense. My memory is closer to:
G bum bum bum bum C! H! bum L! bum bum bum E!
What's that spell
I Have no idea
My friends and I joke about it all the time.
