You really have to wonder why this can't be fixed. A coach once told me that great special teams can make up for some of the turnovers and penalties that will always happen. I guess as long as we have a guy who can kick a field goal he believes the rest isn't a big deal.

making prediction-- most of these teams have stats improve after UTEP and Rice -- that said-- we also still have Florida Atlantic and S Miss .

that kickoff stat could get better by taking a knee -- go from 19 to 25 BUT fans would fuss about that ( I'm ok either way)

exclude MISS State and other 5 games are winnable ( zero excuse UTEP_RICE)-- need other 3 to have shot at Division ...

UTEP and Rice are quite possibly the worst teams in the history of football. If those stats don't improve after those games, that itself would be very concerning.

So if Tech were to, hypothetically, drop one of these, what would your excuse be?

That those disappointed in an egregious loss must hate the coach & dont support the team?

    Or something new this time?

Nah! Rice and UTEP would easily win the SWAC, the MEAC, and some other conferences. Yes, I understand they are FBS and those are FCS, but you didn't distinguish the divisions. You just posted they may be the worst teams in the history of football. So, that would include ALL football.

    Good point! FBS.

Looks like #191 Rice barely edges #192 Southern for control of the SWAC. Top two MEAC are #165 NCA&T and #193 FA&M.

Rice (the lowest CUSA) beats Northeast Conf (#208 Central Conn) and Pioneer Conf (#211 San Diego).

And yet Rice with their crippling admission standards has managed to win a conference championship since we’ve been in CUSA. That’s a real head scratcher.

And they won National Championships (baseball) when we were in the WAC.

I thought we hired a 10th coach for this. Heck I'll coach ST for free just pay me in Adidas gear. I can get us to #10 in CUSA
