Our champion...unless our champion gets an Access Bowl bid (yeah, right)...would automatically go there. It would add to it if the opponent was a P5...preferably the SEC.
But much like other things "CUSA" the bowl situation sucks too. Our champion has usually gotten a worst bowl than other CUSA teams. Would UAB, 9-0 in the conference, and 11-2 overall, assuming a loss at aTm, be satisfied playing in the N.O. Bowl? If the opponent was the Belch champion, Troy, Ga. Southern, or Appy State, maybe it would be worthwhile. But given how rare going 11-2 is, one would hope to be better rewarded. But, is that even possible? Hate to say it, but if the opponent is the ACC/SEC the Indy Bowl is more attractive, and the HoD Bowl vs. the Big 10 would be next on the list.
