the key to this win is on Blaker's D. The offense and Skip can't win game for us.
Blaker needs to play a very aggressive D from start to finish just like he did against UNT to give us a chance to win.
Can't rush 3 for 3rd and 15 then give up 25yds.

I'm optimistic. We play better on the road. And J'Mar definitely plays better away from Ruston. Figure that one out and you are da man. Give me J'Mar's LSU performance for the rest of our games and we run the table. Tech 28, FAU 21.
LA Tech has reached the proverbial fork in the road. We're 5-2, with the following 5 games remaining:
10/26 - @ FAU
11/03 - @ Miss St
11/10 - Rice
11/17 - @ USM
11/24 - W Kentucky
Right now, LA Tech's two remaining home games --against Rice and WKU-- look like easy wins, and would give the Dogs 7 wins for the 2018 season. It's those other 3 remaining games that are the biggies, and the one's that will determine whether LA Tech finishes with 7 wins or 9 or 10 wins in 2018. Personally, I figure LA Tech will probably be out-gunned in Starkville, so I'm chalking that one up as a loss.
But it's still very possible for LA Tech to reach 9 regular season wins in 2018: Our Dogs must beat FAU and USM on the road. It's that simple. That makes this week's FAU game and the USM game on 11/17 the most important games remaining on our schedule.
So get ready for a BIG DOSE of FAU All-world RB Devin Singletary, who has rushed 147 times for 666 yds and 14 TD's in 7 games this season (95 yds per game average). On average, FAU rushes 45 times per game for 220 yds. Freshman QB Chris Robison has connected on 133 of 213 attempts, for 1,639 yds, but only 8 TD's against 10 INT's.
Of course it matters, or none of us would be here.
No, I wouldn't trade winning 4 of our last 5 games for a single win at Miss St and 4 losses. That's a stupid "fake" choice anyway. Life doesn't work that way. I'm always intrigued by people who ask that question...(In a Funny high voice), "Oh you gotta make this choice because you're just not allowed to beat Miss St and someone else." LOL! That's so stupid.
Well, it seems that bowl games don't mean anything to Tech fans. P5 wins is how you grow the program (or exciting losses where you felt you had a chance to win the game). So what is 9 wins worth in a crappy conference when you don't win the championship and bowls don't mean anything? Just that Holtz avoided yet another year of being fired (unfortunately)?
....Just another purposeful and insincere over-exaggeration from you (T1) about what good LA Tech fans --who truly care about LA Tech-- have said. Even someone as insincere as you have to admit that it would be nice to see LA Tech actually beat a P5 every once in a while.
That said, to me Bowl games are 100% about the opponent. Beating Navy in the Armed Forces Bowl was absolutely sensational for LA Tech and its fans. On the other hand, beating a limping and coach-less SMU in the Frisco Bowl was not.
Once again, Vegas has a puzzling line/OU...
28-25ish
IMO, if our defense can get us 10 we will be the team with 28.
First, 6-6 gets us a bowl game. Second, while I think bowl games aren't the best measuring stick to judge prgram success I damn sure want Tech to go to one each year. Third, I would love to beat Mississippi State. I love any win over any P5 school. It has to drive their fanbase nuts, just like we go crazy when we lose to a FCS team.
