He has had some bad drops. There were a few yesterday. I think one hit 31 dead in the chest and he just dropped it.

Don't you know, receivers are supposed to make the circus catches, but never miss one they can touch?
I get so tired of hearing about how much we missed Henderson as a receiver. He was good as a receiver. He also had more drops than any of our current receivers. Dropping passes is as much a part of the game as QBs not completing every open pattern.
Only excuse makers use dropped passes as a stat.
Someone with more time than me should chart drops vs misfires. And TNWSS.
I honestly think Holtz is afraid J'mar will throw a hissy fit and transfer if he pulls him or sits him...
That's the ONLY thing that makes any sense
And if that's the case, the Skip maybe needs to head to the golf course for good -
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
That's a bigger indictment of Holtz than saying he's a mediocre coach. Wow! Afraid to lose a player?
I know y'all get tired of my reliving the past, so I'll keep it brief. I had a player who was the biggest prima donna, egotistical 13-yr-old you would've ever seen. But, he was an awesome athlete! Naturally, my ego and his had a hard time getting along. But I was the coach, in charge, and one day at practice I had had enough. So, I told him to go sit on the side and I would tell his parents when they came to get him, you are off the team. Good bye! Anyway, the next day he and his dad sheepishly approached me at practice. He apologized and after that, we got along royally. No more issues. Glad he stayed...he was a big part of our state championship run the following spring.
Holtz is supposed to be in charge of the team. That's it. And besides, if Holtz doesn't know it, we can assure him, J'Mar Smith would be no big loss. Good riddance.
I don’t think they can pattern Smith. He might throw a frozen rope, but he’s just as likely to lob it. He may over throw by 5 yards or under throw by 5 yards. Hell, he threw over one of the RB’s head on a swing route by 5 yards against Rice. That’s the easiest pass in football to throw.
