Former Southern Miss QB Nick Mullens had one of the best statistical first time performances in league history tonight for the 49ers. He was 16-22 for 262 yards for 3 TD's and 0 INT's.

Too bad Trent Taylor was not active for this game.
I dont wanna hear about Nick Mullens. Tech players never, ever, ever get chances like this. If our guys are lucky, they put in the work like Allen or Tramon and quietly become valuable over a long time.
??? I'm confused ??? It took TWO injuries for him to get in a game this season and when the two ahead of him are fully healthy he will return to the #3 spot. Oakland is terrible. This was not a coming out party. (EDIT: apparently I'm wrong and it might be ... they are thinking of starting him next week)
Last time I checked we have had players (Rattay, McCown come to mind) that have gotten in under similar circumstances. An injury to Dalton gets Driskel in the game. Kenneth Dixon STILL has a chance to unseat Alex Collins when coming off IR later this season despite his historical suspension/injury woes.
But.......our S&C guy is basically god in the weight room.
