That was one BEAUTIFUL ugly win! Neither team could hit a FT to save their life. Turnovers all over the place. And, it's a brand new, very young Wichita State team that will likely not finish .500 this year. Still... if you know anything about college basketball, Wichita State is a traditional power with a storied history. So, this win will look good in the record books 10 years from now.

And, the most important thing is, I'd rather win ugly than lose ugly.

Good win to open the season. We played 10 players so we obviously have depth. 9/10 scored so thats great balance. We won the boards and I thought our defense was the difference down the stretch. This was a well rounded victory.

We definitely have athletes and it appears we have some depth shooting the ball from the perimeter. My only concerns are the same as in the past - we dont have many points in the paint and we dont have much size on defense in the paint. This will hurt us as it has in the past against teams with size and depth. Great win. Go dawgs!

As long as we stay healthy or there are no mid-season transfers, yes. For the first time since White was here, we will have 10 players in the rotation. If Ledoux could play this year, we would have 11 in the rotation. We only have 12 (of possible 13) scholarship players, and it seems like Kyle won't be good enough to be part of the rotation when it matters. Thomas could honestly use a RS year, but we don't have that luxury. He has the body, but the game moves a little bit too fast for him at the moment. Hopefully he will develop at the speed our three Freshman last year did.

For a minute there in the first half I thought I was watching a Tech team from 2014 or 2015. We moved the ball up and down the court in the first half and did a great job with the backcourt trap game.
