I haven't seen any mocks with #45 in the first round, most project him as an 3-4 round pick. A couple of sites have him listed as a late second rounder. Their are tons of high quality defensive lineman in this draft. Jaylon is likely a late second day or early third day prospect, at this point. He can, of course, rise with a great bowl game, all-star game and a great showing in Indy. My guess is he goes in the second round. It is a long time to draft day so who knows.

Ferguson has accepted his Senior Bowl invite. Be patient, he will be a first round draft pick.

You may very well be right. Lots of guys move up Senior Bowl week once the pro coaches watch them prepare all week and get to know them personally.

CBS Sports - NFL Draft 2019: Prospects the Packers should consider with their pair of first-round picks

    Potential non-Round 1 sleepers
Jaylon Ferguson, EDGE, Louisiana Tech: Ferguson's going to be one of the most fascinating defensive prospects in the 2019 class. He's been epically productive at Louisiana Tech -- 42.5 sacks, 62 tackles for loss in his four-year career -- and has NFL edge-rusher size at 6-5 and around 260 pounds. Is he a hand-work master? No. But he can flatten to the quarterback and has flashed an impressive get-off. Seemingly a good athlete, Ferguson would be a nice add for Green Bay outside of Round 1.

With the opponents Tech has played these last couple of games Ferguson should’ve already broken the record IF the coaching staff would’ve done something extra to help him. It’s just another example of the limited vision this coaching staff has for team success. If Ferguson falls short of this historic mark the biggest part of that fault will fall on his inept coaches.

I guess it’s going to be all on him to do it himself while somehow breaking through any number of uncalled holding penalties. If you don’t believe he gets held almost every play just pay attention to his jersey being twisted up around his shoulder pads.

Jaylon Ferguson's situation in CUSA reminds me of when Shaquille O'Neill played college basketball at LSU in the SEC. Why's that, you ask? In short, Shaq was "too good" for the SEC. The SEC officials had never seen a big man that could move like Shaq in the SEC, and they just couldn't officiate his games fairly. I remember Dale Brown giving a post game press conference after playing Tennessee, and telling the world that he was recommending Shaq turn pro early, just so he wouldn't get hurt. The Vols --like most SEC teams-- were physically beating Shaq up, and getting away with it. NOTHING was being called in Shaq's favor. Dale Brown had had enough, and publicly criticized the SEC and their officials, in front of the world. And he was right.

I see similar circumstances regarding Jaylon Ferguson. Ferguson is too good for CUSA. He can't get a fair shake in this conference. CUSA officials just WON'T make any holding calls against any opponent who "holds" Ferguson. And he gets held at least a dozen times in each game. It's almost as if the CUSA referees have money bet on the game.

Then he should probably consider sitting out the bowl game unless he has insurance. No need risking his career in a meaningless bowl game.

There will be many players not playing in bowl games. Greedy Williams from LSU has already indicated he will not be playing in their bowl game.
