Rich is obviously a relative term but with the vanishing middle class, it will soon become an absolute term.

Why should business owners pay a lower tax rate than people who work for them? That is the question.

Richness has very little to do with income. Wealth is a gauge of richness; income is a gauge of value to an entity. You can make very little and become "rich" if you are frugal enough.

Business owners can move their businesses wherever they wish, and they normally move to where it is most financially beneficial to them. New York made a bunch of concessions to Amazon to get their headquarters because it will be a net positive to the area. Perhaps you think they should have been run off and sent elsewhere because it's just not fair.

Maybe you don’t know this, but New Jersey is one of the most tax heavy states in the country. And it just isn’t their state income tax - it is across the board. The tax code rewrite disporportionately hits states like New Jersey. A good portion of the middle class in NJ pay over 10k in state taxes.

I know what they're taxed. I also know their political leanings. They are the ones that want more stuff, until they see the bill. Point is, they can't have both. Any Democrats including any reduction of taxes (from whatever source) invalidates their entire social and economic platform.

You can't define "rich". It is a buzz word used by socialists. Middle class people own businesses as well and they are the backbone of MAGA. I know it's difficult to grasp, but they do. You ignore the fact that owners actually take the risks and own the businesses. Therefore they get to take the profits and use them the way they want. That includes a nice lifestyle, reinvesting in the business, and bonuses to valuable employees. All three have and are still happening with the tax cuts.

Unless you've ever actually taken the risk and owned a business you would not understand the above. You obviously favor government regulations and higher taxes. Check out your voting block. See how many jobs they create outside of the government.

Businesses are not operating today the same as 200 years ago. Mostly for the better, but they can do more.

Telling a company they should pay their employees more and executives less is not socialism. Telling them that investing in their people is investing in their business is not socialism. Telling them to treat all their employees as valuable members of their business is not socialism. All of it is good (better) capitalism.

So! The Commie Repubic of California is trying to flex its political muscle to influence the democrap nomination for POTUS 2020. Saying Iowa and New Hampshire are "too homogenous" (code for: too white) and stating those two puny little states have too long held too much influence on the process, Cal's dems have slated their 2020 primary effectively FIRST. Beginning three weeks BEFORE the Iowa caucus, Cal Dem voters can cast votes in their primary.

This is a GREAT thing for we good Americans! The chances of the dems being saddled with a commie loon are far greater now. Trump can protect his hold on those midwestern states that put him over the top in 2016. Or at least...there's that hope now, when we had none before.

This twist will make the 2020 POTUS campaign a little more interesting.

POTUS Campaign 2020 is off and winging! In this case, extreme left-winging.

Pocahontas drinks a beer and announces she is running for prez. Will visit Iowa this week. The very lib guvnar of Washington, whose name I can't recall, also announced. Both of those campaigns are DOA.

But, as I've mentioned before, I find presidential politics fascinating. Oh, and now that California's primary will be early in the process. In fact, first! as I recall reading. That is a game changer for sure. Not sure why our Indian Princess is heading to Iowa, instead of California.
