The way they call states when the reported numbers are just the opposite is interesting. If this were a football game...
Team A 17 Team B 3 about midway in the 2nd qtr, Team A is not only winning, 17-3, but playing well. Then the pundits say, "We can now call this one for Team B by about two touchdowns." What?
Coach Tuberville wins in Bama. That should help the GOP hold on to the Senate...hopefully.
I noticed that, too. Like, right now, one source has Trump up 200,000 in Virginia and it's a toss-up still while other sources have it called for Biden despite also showing the same Trump lead. Also, no two sources have the same results even though they are fed the same information, which is even more weird.
Again.. many democrats are calling for the elimination of the electoral college. This requires a constitutional amendment, which even if it did make it through Congress, would never pass the the state ratification process, as many states would be giving up their voice in a presidential election.
Dems are very busy this morning...damn! they are having to create millions of fake ballots to steal the election in 5 states. That can't be done over-night.
$$$$ money, money, money...
This is actually a good thing, I think. This election cycle shows you really can't buy elections. Look at Florida and the two senate races trying to unseat McConnell and Graham. Holy moly!!! The Dems out-spent the GOP by $tens of millions in just those three elections. They spent $200 million trying to beat McConnell and Graham! Bloomberg spent $100 million of his own money trying to beat Trump in Florida, and that in addition to what the Biden campaign spent. Across the nation the Dems out-spent the GOP by a $billion+. Given the results they didn't get much for their money.
I know of a couple of local campaigns where the Dem tripled the spending of their GOP and Indy opponents, and got beat fairly well, 54% to 46% on average. I know them, and their campaign managers very well. Last night, at around 10:00, I visited with them at their HQs (free food, ya understand!) and they were in shock. I was not too surprised by the results. I also know of their opponents, not too personally, but by reputation and in one case, via some business dealings, and they are accomplished and quality folks.
What does it all mean? I suppose that it is comforting to see that many, many Americans can see thru the BS and are not influenced by fancy political campaigns and all the trappings...can you say 10 large billboards!!??
So...the national polls missed it again. Biden was supposed to win fairly easily 30+ states, sweeping to a huge EC victory. The Dems might still steal the election...they are certainly trying...but clearly it was no "blue wave" the polls predicted. The GOP held serve in the Senate and looks like will actually gain 4 seats in the House. The polls had the Dems increasing their hold on the House.
Caveat alert!!! Have to remind everyone how the Dems stole seats in the House in 2018, reversing the results in 12 elections, 8 of them in California, with "ballots found in the trunks of cars." Perhaps the national pollsters know to build in the cheating factor...
Other than that, I found some of the early exit polling and other analysis interesting. Those who voted for Trump, 80% say they voted FOR him, of those who voted for Biden, 49% said they voted AGAINST Trump. Half of the votes Biden got were not for him. Yes, Trump benefitted from a anti-Killary vote in 2016, but don't think it was half his votes.
Saw a report that Trump got 15% of the black vote, which is twice what he got in 2016. But fell short of the 20+% some Trump supporters were touting.
Same ole crap. The Dems want to stall this as long as possible. If they lose, they will go to court and fight Trump at every turn for the next four years. If they win, all of a sudden it’s all peace and love and we all need to come together and unify as a nation.
Let’s revisit this in two months and see if I’m right or wrong.
We all knew that Trump needed a wide margin of legit votes to overcome the cheating the Dems will do. I fear he did not garner enough of a buffer to hold his lead in these remaining states. I will be surprised if Trump wins this.
Thankfully the GOP has held the Senate...well, at least according to the pundits, but right now the "official" count is 47-47 with races still pending being called. I am sure the Dems are trying to steal some of those too.
