I'm sure you all saw it, but I wanted it posted here for posterity. At the recent California Dem Conference, Hicklenhooper (sp?) one of the 20+ candidates was booed vigorously when he said he did not believe in socialism. Booed hard too!

Just like the 2008 or 2012 Dem convention they booed God. They also only placed American flags after 2nd day of the convention when they got some push-back from viewers. Years later the leftist revisionists poo-poohed the idea it even happened. Typical.

Another blue state, Oregon, has switched to giving all of their EC votes to the national popular vote winner, regardless of how their own state voted. That makes 13 blue states. Great! as long as no red states join in this stupidity it can only help us. Right now the Dems have a 99% guarantee to win those states anyway, and garner all of those EC votes. It's California, New York, Illinois, etc...commie lib states. Watch what happens the first time a Repub wins the national popular vote and ALL of those EC votes go in his/her column. I 101% guarantee these exact same loony lib Dems who are cheering this change will scream "It's a Constitutional crisis! Democracy cannot survive this." And then I 150% guarantee these exact same loons will file a lawsuit to overturn the results of that election. They will act like the change was forced on them and they are victims.

    Mark it down!

In more news, the polls have tightened some. Biden 24% Sanders 17% and...I think it's Harris and then Warren. EVEN if we assume the polls are accurate, then have to understand they will fluctuate sometimes for a specific reason and sometimes "just because." Like the stock market has its ups and downs, not always for an obvious reason, so too do polls have ups and downs.

In the bigger picture, though, is the honeymoon period over for Biden? I'm just asking. Most of the other candidates are starting to call him out...not always by name, which is curious, and Biden's support is eroding. It's still way too early to etch any "results" in stone.

    Re: Presidential Election 2020

In the NextGen Poll Warren leads with 39% Sanders 26% and Biden is fourth at 6%. The poll claims to have 4,400 respondents, ages 18-35. Biden still leads in the overall, national polls, fairly comfortably given it's still early.

But, is this a potential chink in Biden's armor, should he get the Dem nomination? If we assume this poll is reflective of the general view of young libs, will they be enthusiastic for the general election? They might stay home or vote for some Third Party candidate instead of Biden. On the flipside, if a flaming leftist gets the Dem nod, will Biden supporters be compelled to turn out? I know, trust me, I know, there is a real danger in reading too much into polls like this.

    Just making conversation here...

Jen Gennai of Googles admits they manipulated searches in an attempt to keep Trump from being elected, and that they will step up their efforts in 2020. When asked about Warren, Gennai said since she wants to break up Google they will not support her. The reason she gave was that a bunch of smaller companies wouldn't have the sheer power Google has to stop Trump and others in the future Google disapproves of.

Election tampering in 2016 and promising to do worse in 2020. Hmmm...

And you post something from the Internet where Gennai allegedly denies the tampering. YOU are so easily duped!

In 1933 a police officer stopped a couple in a car and asked them if they knew anything about a bank robbery that had just taken place. He said this car matches the description of the one seen leaving the scene. Well, don't you just know, Jen Gennai, er, I mean Bonnie & Clyde denied having anything to do with the robbery. Later the cop, his nickname was Goosey, said, "well, they denied it! What else could I believe?"

I have seen VIDEO of Gennai saying Google tampered. You offer some typed crap, that anyone could have typed, including YOU!

In this case, I can believe how easily you are duped! LOL.

Interesting how a party that used to be anti-regulation and pro-business has become the biggest antagonist to the biggest American business success stories - Big Tech. Also ironic in that these businesses are also the ones critical to beating China in the tech arms race.

Elizabeth Warren is the one on the warpath against Big Tech. Appropriate since she is an Indian princess, ya know! So this "how a party" has become antagonistic is your Dem Party.

Speaking of Pocahontas... in the latest "progressive" poll, sponsored by Moveon.org

    Warren 38% Sanders 17% Biden 15%

Again, we see a leftist poll where the Dem front-runner, Biden, gets beaten to a pulp. As with the others, I pose the question, will these extremists turn out for the general election to support Biden? Kind of a rhetorical question, well, a speculative one, since no one can know for sure. We did see a portion of the Dem base stay home and not support Krooked Killary. So...

Yes, she is. She and Republicans seem to be on the same page on this one. But, as I was saying on the Socialism thread, pro-capitalism is not a value of the Trump-led Republican Party. Capitalism is not populist. Trump has more in common with Warren than I have in common with either of them.

So you agree that bakers and florists should be able to choose who they want to serve without being harassed and sued.

That is an awfully broad and vague statement. I don’t believe anyone should be immune from being sued because of what they do for a living and I am not sure what you mean by “harassed”. Do you mean that people shouldn’t be allowed to say negative things about or boycott businesses that they disagree with? If so, I think people should be able to do that (though I don’t think politicians should target such businesses because it is very similar to a bill of attainders; politicians should not be judge and jury about specific businesses - they should be concerned with generalized regulations regarding the rules of “fair play” and conduct in business). Now if you are asking if a business should be able to exclude serving a protected class (like black people), I disagree. That is a special case and we cannot go back down that road and our government still has to stamp out the harm it caused for its state-sponsored discrimination.
