We hardly got the ball to Duruji during the end of the game, if I remember correctly. They had him guarded. And our players would frequently hesitate to shoot only to end up shooting anyway.

It's hard for me to agree with your "best player" analysis..... You do get an "A" for selling it, though.
- Duruji is better than anyone on this team and was the best player on the floor last night (22 pts, 9 rebs). Duruji was 3 of 4 (75%) from 3-point land. Problem was, he needed some help.
- Powell didn't impress offensively. He finished with only 5 pts, when he should have had 15. He seemed nervous, and couldn't make the really easy shots. He easily left 10 points off the board. But his 10 rebounds were really good.
- Tech out rebounded LSU on both ends of the court (42-38), had a better 3-point percentage (39% vs 21%) and the free throw line battle, 61.5% vs 57.9%. It was the turnovers that killed us. We lost that battle, 17-7.
Our dominance on the glass is the story so far this year imo.
Powell is strong and quick around the basket. He struggles with touch sometimes. Last night he definitely hurt us. If he can become consistent he will be a weapon.
Duruji can be a one man run when he turns it on. Rebounding, stealing, blocking, running the floor, shooting the three. Scary.
First time I didn't feel i had been robbed playing a SEC team. One bad call on a out of bounds play and it was close .
I was at the game and I agree with most of what has been posted on this thread except the anonymous insane ramblings about Bracey and Harris. Bracey was not 100 percent but he played. For those complaining that he threw the game away they apparently were not paying attention to the first half when we came back from 9 almost immediately after Bracey was inserted into the game. The entire dynamics of our team changed for the better.
Clearly Duruji was the best player on the floor last night and lsu DID know it. My son and I were 7 rows behind their bench. Late in the first half after Duruji drove threw 3 of their guys, missed a shot, got the rebound and put it back in, one of their assistants screamed at the whole team, “WE CAN’T STOP HIM!”
I agree with DFM that when healthy, Bracey is our “best” player. Duruji is our best athlete and quickly becoming a great player. I said before the season, that pretty much every time we play we will have the 2 most talented players on the court and believe if Bracey had been 100 percent that would have been the case last night as well and we win going away. No moral victories, we should be undefeated today, but effort was great.
