And the ones who matter, the student-athletes and coaches and support staff, will not have to travel this year. It's their turn to stay in Ruston during the holiday.
Regardless, the "fans" who do not attend this game (or any game) will be right back here on the "fan" board next week bragging to tell us why.

I will be at the game and will enjoy watching our team and some of the special players we have . We only have this game at the Joe until next year . Go and have a good time .
My brother; my friend, Larry; and I will be at the game Saturday. It was a long drive back from Hattiesburg after watching a mediocre performance by the Dawgs. But, this is the last home game. After a pitiful one point loss, we won't be driving to a bowl game and won't be there unless the game is in Shreveport. This will probably be the last game we attend until the April Spring Game.
I'll be there. Looking forward to being in attendance as SackDaddy Ferguson sets the NCAA record for career sacks on Saturday! Plus, it's Senior Day.

4 out of the last 5 years. That’s a tough game to get a crowd in for sure with the students out.

It has become so obvious that the spin is now "the players don't have to travel on Thanksgiving". Holtz said that last night. I think he meant the coaches don't have to travel since most of the players aren't home anyway.

Dorm/Apartments aren't home either. Let's not pretend they are more comfortable in Ruston. The W/L record over the past 2 years does not back that up. Home field did seem to help them whip UTEP and Rice though.

BTW, they will be staying in W/M on Friday night in an attempt to keep them from feeling "at home".
They always stay in WM on Friday night for home games. It's called routine.
