Need to change the OT rule. Have the teams start at the 50 each "inning." Under the current rules you're already in easy FG range, don't gain a yard and you can kick a 42 yd FG. But it's always fun to watch LSU lose.
Watched the ND-USC game. It's no secret ND is my second favorite CFB team. Give USC tons of credit, those players brought it with tons of emotion and Helton and his coaches had a great game plan. ND adjusted....changed the way they run some of the basic plays, but most importantly, changed their defense which shut down the success SC was enjoying. Great coaching on both sides. How refreshing to see great coaching... Ian Book had an off night, and he and the Irish will have to be a LOT better if they hope to have a chance vs. Clemson, their most likely opponent in the CFP.
Top four is:
1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Georgia
I know! If UGA and Oklahoma would ever meet in a CFP game, OK will donkey stomp 'em!!

You'd make a great selection committee member.
All Georgia has to do to get in is beat Bama. Otherwise they are out. They should have lost again after lsu beat the crap out of them. They would have a better chance to get in with 2 losses and not be in the championship game.
Just having a little fun with ya!
I think the whole CFP is a joke. It's not a real "national championship" tourney. Yes, Bama is really good and would be a factor no matter what system was used. Clemson is pretty salty too. But even the very best college hoops' teams: Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, UNC, etc...have to meet a criteria that is mostly applied to everyone else. Yeah, they benefit from some preferential treatment because of their names, but in the end, they still have to win 6 games to be national champ. And! every team has a chance to make it. Like Loyola-Chicago advancing to the Final Four even though the committee admitted they would not have gotten an at-large berth.
Back to football...
there's a lot of angst aimed at Notre Dame. That's to be expected. But! ND is 12-0 and of the 4 unbeatens (ND, Bama, Clemson, UCF), they have the toughest SOS. The 4th spot was Meeeechigan's to lose....and man! did they ever. Now, it's down to UGA, Oklahoma, and Ohio State. It won't matter to me who gets in. I'll just enjoy tweaking those who have a strong opinion on a given team .
And in other news...
The SWAC football championship game was moved out of the City of Birmingham so that they could host the CUSA football championship game. However, UAB lost to Middle Tennessee yesterday 27-3. So instead of hosting the game, UAB will now play at Middle Tennessee again next weekend for the CUSA championship, while the SWAC game will be played in Lorman, MS.
Staying with the Tennessee news... So Vanderbilt destroyed TN 38-13 at home to become bowl eligible at 6-6 and to knock TN out of bowl contention. The postgame celebration got tense briefly when the frat boys down the street stopped playing Rocky Top. See the video and PLAY THE SOUND https://twitter.com/F5_CUSARefs/stat...85505758560257
