    Hillary Clinton, "Freedom is burdensome"

    quote:

She told The Guardian: “I think it’s as much psychological, maybe more than political, as to what people are yearning for. I mean, freedom is burdensome. It’s hard getting up and taking responsibility for yourself and trying to make all these decisions.”

This pretty much sums up the left and progressives.

So life is too hard for some people to cope on their own so let government shoulder that burden. Just how much of a loser does it take to admit they don't even want to try to put forward a little personal effort to better themselves? Personally, I don't want anything to do with someone who has that outlook on life.

It's the next step in the brainwashing process by the pigs. Now, the left will say, "oh you wretched souls, y'all are not capable of making decisions for yourselves, and you shouldn't have to, it's so hard! after all. Just leave it to us, your gallant leaders. We'll take care of you."

The left will make it okay to be helpless. It's the reason the left launched the whole snowflake movement.

You are taking the quote out of context. “The people” that she is referring to are people that support authoritarian “strong-man” candidates such as Trump.

What she said before the part you quoted was: “Strength right now seems really attractive, and there’s not enough of an awareness, or reminders, about what that can lead to.”

Yes weak leadership like Obama provided with her as Sec of State should be desired by those who fight for their country, buy products without government assistance, and provide non government jobs for workers. Socialist globalism is the desired goal right?

Globalism goes with capitalism, not socialism.

    Biblical...

    quote:

She told the event, titled ‘Parliamentarianism Between Globalisation and National Sovereignty’: “In this day nation states must today – should today, I say – be ready to give up sovereignty.

“But of course in an orderly procedure.”

Mrs Merkel said that countries who think “they can solve everything on their own” are simply nationalistic and not patriotic because they “only think about themselves.

"Globalism" does not equal "international business and trade." Yes, sometimes those involved in international business/trade casually use that term, either unaware or not caring about the other definition and implications.

Most people, myself included, support international business/trade....heck! I've done it myself....but that's not what "globalism" means in terms of politics. Germany's Merkel just said the other day, paraphrasing: the new globalism requires nations to give up their sovereignty. That is very dangerous, and not something I want to see the US, or any of our western allies do.

The left loves to redefine terms.

Globalism is not equal to free and open trade any more than socialism is equal to constructing interstate highways or bailing out an industry critical to national survival. But suddenly you are considered "smart" if you believe these things.

Heck, a girl is no longer a girl and a boy is no longer a boy according to them. And they claim you are the dumb one if you think otherwise.

I thought Trump’s base was against offshoring of jobs.

You thought? There you go again. Thinking wrong.

It's amazing how truly wrong you are about Trump, and his supporters. But, I'm starting to see why you are so anti-Trump, provided you actually believe the mess you spew.

I only thought that because that is one of Trump’s big things - trying to prevent the offshoring of jobs.
