The overall percentage of teams winning conference championships is...7%.

All things considered, its more likely, statistically speaking, to make 5 bowls in a row than it is to win 1 conference championship.

To win five championships in a row, 0.0004%.

The weird thing is, its about 25x more likely that we would have won at least one conference championship in 5 years than to win 5 straight bowls.

    So why haven't we?

Seems like we beat the odds

Is making it to the CCG twice in 5 years beating the odds? Tech won 2 CC in 12 yrs in the WAC (should have been 3 but that doesn't speak well.) Is that beating the odds?

Yes. I can't do the math, but only 3 out of 14 teams have been to the CCG twice. (Tech, Marshall, WKU).

It's just boring ole Bama-Clemson, but it is CFB, so....any thoughts on the game?

I'm leaning toward Clemson. But, it should be a good, close game. Could go either way. But, if I were to make a pick, I'll venture a guess of:

    Clemson 34 Bama 31

Clemson has a slight....ever so slight, a razor's edge slight!...advantage at QB. I also think Clemson enjoys an overall team speed advantage.

BTW, that poor fellow, Clemson's QB, Trevor Lawrence...is ugly! U-G-L-Y you ain't got no alibi, you ugly! Change your face, you're ugly!

    Bless his heart....

Ha! I told my wife this about two weeks ago! He ain't Randy Johnson ugly yet, but he's young still. If he continues to perform at his current level, it won't make a hill of beans difference. He will have sweet thangs hanging off both arms, and a butt load of money! Bless his heart, indeed!

Wow! Clemson donkey-stomped Bama. Not surprise Clemson won, I expected them to, but not quite like that.

Goofy, anti-Notre Dame fans were gleeful and smug after the Cotton Bowl. Well....fans focused on the wrong thing. It was not that ND didn't belong in the CFP. It's that Clemson is that good this year.
