I sat at a blackjack table with Mathew McConaughey in Baton Rouge once. Penelope Cruz came in to the casino after I went to tell a friend that Matthew McConaughey was there. He didn't believe me until he saw Penelope. I think one of them had some family in the area.

Valerie's dad worked at the GM plant in Shreveport, where my sister also worked. My sister passed on an autographed picture of Valerie she got from her dad. I was the graduate resident of Neilson Residence Hall at the time so I posted it on the living room wall in the GR's apartment. Me not being an interior decorator, it was the only thing on any of the walls. My now wife still pokes fun at me from time to time because that was the only thing on a wall in the apartment when we met.

When you were GR at Neilson do you remember the day thousands of paper airplanes appeared on the front lawn stretching from the building all the way to the railroad tracks? If you do, I know who launched the first paper airplane and many many more

Two really boring games. The D2 national championship between Ferris State and Valdosta State is a very good game. 24-21 Ferris with 3:06 left on the first half.

3 High Schools. Capacity around 12,000.

Allen High school about five miles down the road has a stadium just as nice for a single high school.

To be more precise, they are 4.4 miles apart by road. Probably only 3.5 miles apart as the crow flies.
