UAB vs. NIU
Conflicted.... usually I root for our conference mates in non-conference games, including the bowls. But, I think I can make an exception in this one. Actually, this is a "can't lose" scenario for me. If UAB wins, then fine, I'll focus on what that does to help heal the woeful image of this conference. If UAB loses I'll focus on that...which needs no explanation.
I hope they get dump trucked. May not happen since most of their players should have been out of college 3 years ago, but still.
Yeah you can clearly see they have a great advantage. Johnson is on track ror over 500 passing yards. Ubosi on track for over 320 receiving yards. The announcers at halftime called Ubosi a man among boys, little do they know.
I guess it is good to see a CUSA team doing well, after getting stomped in previous games this bowl season.
Screw UAB. If every other CUSA team lost their bowl, I'd want UAB to still lose.

Thanks to Toledo scoring a TD as the clock was about to expire this game became a single digit affair. One of only two in the first ten bowl games. The average victory margin of the first ten games? 20.4. This was actually a game worth watching. Just imagine more bowl games next season.
Yippee! CUSA is now 3-2 in the bowls, after a dismal 0-2 start. Well, we'll probably put a halt to that run.
Good game in Birmingham. Memphis vs. Wake Forest. 28-24 Memphis at halftime.
