2000 soldiers is what we are discussing and a big potential to have a big problem with Turkey . We can find other ways to support the Kurds ( who we shouldn't abandon!).

A ban on so called “assault weapons” violates the constitution. Is it safe to assume that you support every American’s right to own an AR15 or an AK47 with the same enthusiasm you have for illegal immigration? If not, your position on the border wall has ZERO credibility.

A ban targeting Muslim immigration because of their religion would be unconstituional. The third travel ban barely past constitutional muster because the court was able to convince itself (disingenuously) that it was not based on religious discriminatory intent. An outright Muslim ban couldn’t do that.
An AWB may be Constitutional. At least no federal appeals court has ever found it unconstitutional. We will see if the SC ever takes the case up, and even then it would likely depend on the specific law - much like it did in the case of Trump’s third travel ban. After all, regulating guns is constitutional. The question is whether banning a certain class constitutes a permissible gun regulation. Personally, I enjoy firearms, including AR-15 platform rifles, and would be bummed out about them being banned.
And you do realize that a border wall is not the same thing as a Muslim ban, right? No one said a border wall is unconstitutional.
Profiling of muslim/Islamic terrorist and violent illegals should be easily constitutional. And I'm all for them trying to get in via planes or boats as our security is so much better vs 9/11.
Stop the touchy feely crappola. This is a life and death matter for you and your fellow Americans. If you can't put yourself into the hearts and heads of our victims of Islamic extremism and violent illegals then you have issues. Their families and friends want it and all avenues stopped ASAP!
In my post I mentioned TWICE "other national security measures." More than just the wall. But the wall accounts for the southern border, and will require fewer "boots on the ground" there. Note, I did NOT say, "no boots," just enough to patrol the wall. We also need drones and other technology surveillance.
Screw the mooooslims! Any foreign nationals, non-US citizens, from hostile countries, have no rights.
And yes, airports, and other points of entry have to be locked down and all mooslims and mooslim-looking people stopped, searched, and their papers checked. If our agents have even an inkling of suspicion, detain 'em. Error on the side of caution.
Since it appears Trump is gonna go thru with this withdrawal from Syria and Afghan, I know where we can get 9,200 US Troops to guard our border and points of entry.
“Withdrawal of our modest—but essential—military presence [in Syria] is a grave mistake that will have fatal consequences for U.S. national interests and cost American lives both at home and abroad,” said Rep. Tom Garrett (R., Va.) in a Twitter message. “Both Secretary Mattis and now Brett McGurk are willing to resign to make this point.”
Only if we let them come here, which is what you seem to be for.
Unless I missed the big invasion force they have ready to hit our shores in the event we refuse to play in their sandbox any more.
It is the ideology that is at war with the United States, not the selected individuals we choose to engage in any particular country. Afghanistan and Syria are not going to come fight us here. If they were, and had the capacity to do so, we should invade them now and occupy their country the way we did Germany and Japan after WW2.
Now China has a goal to overtake the US economy and military and be top dog of the planet...they have stated just that. The more we fuel their rise the closer they get to being able to do this. Perhaps we should invade them also to keep from having to fight them here.
Or, perhaps your comment was just more misdirected TDS emotion and not real foreign policy. It's OK, there's a lot of that going around.
