nlulm is being sold as an economic engine for the parish. While it is one of the things Jamie Mayo and his sales peeps have not managed to completely destroy, the parish tax payers pay plenty to support nlulm already. Our property taxes are plenty high enough and any new taxes need to be dedicated to roads and bridges.

Yeah, I have first hand experience on those Ouachita taxes. I bought my wife a vehicle in Dallas this summer, and when the sales lady kept figuring up the taxes, she kept saying “that can’t be right...” And she was right, they were more than she quoted
