It’s all over Twitter. Time to move on
Well POOP!
Looks like he was going to Temple anyway. Best of luck to him.
Will our new DC know that we aren't allowed to blitz?
This is actually a GOOD thing. When young coaches around America see that they can come to LA Tech for a 2 to 4 year stint and end up with a Coordinator job at a top P5 university like Miami, they will certainly want to come work here.
Thank you, Mr Baker, for spending several good years here at LA Tech, and for carrying this team's fortunes in 2018. All the best to you and your family!
Next man up!
Well....shoot. Agreed, HD. I will take the rising stars, the up and comers for 2-4 years all day long. And I will take a new fresh Driskell every year, give him the keys to a hot shot, talented group of receivers and big boy OL. QB U.
Well, Holtz hired Baker as DC before anyone else remotely had such a notion. It was a fairly controversial appointment at the time. Maybe he's got another trick up his sleeve.
Have you considered those Dogs?
Yeah, Bakers first two years were crap, but I must say that he did turn into a good one. Best of luck to him at the U.
I would rather have assistants/HCs who are hired away every 3/4 years because they are good that assistants/HCs who are never leaving because nobody wants them.
There is turnover at every level of college football. You just have to decide if you want to be the ladder going up or the ladder going down.
My prayer isn’t we don’t go old buddies club and replace Baker with another Fitch.
Twitter seems to indicate Diaz is coming for Kurt Hester too?
Wouldn't surprise me. I know he spoke highly of him in that podcast interview last summer.
