I'm gonna say Tech might have the longest streak in the nation without firing a single football coach (head coach or assistant coach).

When was the last time Tech ever fired a football coach? Bicknell in 2006? Maybe you can count Dooley demoting Ed Jackson from an assistant coach to a staffer after the 2007 season, but he wasn't fired. I don't think you can seriously count assistants who weren't retained during our head coach transitions after our former HCs got hired away and new HCs brought in their own staffs. That's expected everywhere.

The article clearly states that this was 2018's coaching salaries.

Right, for 2018. But I believe Clark's 2019 salary now makes him the highest paid in CUSA. Guess I'll look it up....

Yep! Clark is now making $1.45 million, with guarantee raises built in up to $1.65 million by 2024. That amount, $1.45 million, was done on purpose to make Clark's salary more than Littrell's.

Maybe once in a blue moon you'll get lucky and get a Manny type, but we've seen how long that lasts.

Believe it or not, it's fact, not based on my opinion but based on what I've been told.
There are a lot of experienced coaches looking for a chance... but most HC’s choose to go with someone familiar, someone they know....that’s a big reason for all the retreads.

It's really nice of you to keep Tech's checkbook balanced.

But most of us look at football schedules from the perspective of fans, not accountants.

Yes, fans want entertaining games. Compare our MS. State, Boise, Hawaii games to UTEP, Southern, etc....The better the opponent the more likely chance to draw a crowd.

So what's wrong with accountants??? And not reconciling your checkbook runs right beside the path of good intentions....and both lead straight to hell. On behalf of all accountants on the board, both of us, I demand an apology!

Bad example (Southern). They always draw a crowd, and bring a crowd with them.
