I saw that -
I like the $7 tickets, too bad they messed the bed in Texas....
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
I got an email.
It might have been on Twitter or Facebook, and I might have missed it.
I know this is true for Facebook, not sure about Twitter, you can see when your followers are most online, and target posts to them. There are also paid promotions so that you get eyeballs from people who don't follow you.
We might already be doing those things, I don't know.
Unless they are the premier mbb in the state of Louisiana, $7 is where the upper level tickets should start at.
Folks ain’t beating down the door for a middle of the pack MBB team that lost to a bottom dweller like Rice.
There needs to be some serious re-evaluating done after this sports season. What we are doing ain’t working.
Good to hear about the ticket prices. Does anyone have any updates on when Jean and Christian will be back? I haven't followed the team as close this year and listened to most of the Rice game on the radio, heard Nitz say they contribute about 20ppg together.
Ticket prices are only part of the story. The rest of the story are the prices for concessions. It appears to me that the largest potential untapped market for fans is young families. This equates to mom, dad and one or more children. When children come they expect and want to make a trip to the concession stand. Offering only a 20-ounce beverage at $4 for a child is insane. There is no reason why a child size drink, a bit of popcorn and a small piece of candy cannot be sold for $1 to $2. At $1 it should be a break even transaction. At $2 there should be some profit. The kid is happy, the parents are happy, and the AD should be happy.
The last time I attended a Northwestern vs. Tech basketball game at Northwestern the lines at the concession stands there were twenty people deep at half time. Their prices were about half what they were at the TAC. I don't see that kind of demand at Tech games.
Can we help that? Or does Aramark dictate price?
