I felt like we were fine with scoring. That didnt make me worry. It was those lapses of poor judgement by the players that Marshall capitalized on that worried me. A few times we had an 6-10 pt lead and would just cough up the ball in careless manners and give up a 5-6 pt run. There were defensive lapses that gave them a straight run toward the basket. You could see our guys get a little frustrated a few times, like someone wasnt in the right place. Luckily they pushed through all of that.
First live game I could make all year, but have kept up with the Dawgs game by game. Ball handling went awry when Bracey left the floor. Pemberton can play. He looked awesome. Every time Powell had the ball I had a sick feeling in my stomach, but he was actually pretty good at finding some open shooters and cutters. Gutsy performance by the guys, and nice crowd.
This Marshall writer is something else. Bless his heart . . . .

"They usually get solid crowds in there," said Elmore. "It's a tough environment to play in. You don't hear a lot about it, you're right. Nobody talks about LA Tech too much. It's tough being all the way down there."
Yes. It's just click bait.
Notice he asked Elmore a leading question and was willing to print Elmore's response word for word. I've noticed that Landon does this from time to time. He makes himself look like and idiot in order to generate interest in something idiotic he writes.
It's actually pretty funny. Because you would expect this out of New York or other parts of the northeast. But Huntington, West Virginia is almost the exact same size of Hattiesburg. No one outside of West Virginia knows or cares anything about it.
Good thing for us Elmore had a cold night in Ruston. He scored 44 pts tonight in a 91-86 win over UTEP.
