Need a decent Bowl for our Champion. Was the Liberty Bowl for a long time against decent opponents (Pitt,Utah...) Needs to be the same every year.

That was when CUSA had a conference line up similar to the AAC. The Liberty Bowl or any mid major bowl cares about us or anybody else in a G5 conference. I think bowls like the Frisco Bowl and Camelia Bowl with smaller stadiums need to go independent of the ESPN machine and sign a contract with Fox or NBC to televise their game on Jan 1st against the CUSA Champ and the MAC or Sunbelt Champ.

Here you are on our board blaming Judy and C-USA leadership for the Belch getting more CFP money than C-USA when Southern Miss is a big reason why, going 0-fer vs. FBS in OOC play, losing to the JUCO this year in Hattiesburg while Tech went 2-0 vs. G5 on the road and hasn't lost an OOC game to a G5 conference since TCU/MWC in the 2011 Poinsettia Bowl before the G5 even existed.

The problem isn't leadership. The problem is with your football team losing to a program it had no business losing to, and the Buzzards have no one to blame for that but themselves. A more appropriate title for this thread is "Buzzards' failure give Belt millions of what should be C-USA's dollars."
We weren't a very good team last year. That is why we lost to ULM. You won't here any excuses from me.

And, we won multiple CUSA championships during that time. The creation of 3.0 gave many of us the false hope that we would dominate and rule the league with all these teams no one had ever heard of (Charlotte/Old Dominion/FAU/FIU/WKU/UTSA). Wrong. I believe getting left behind when all of our peers/rivals went AAC had an effect on the program that still haunts us today. We had a winning record against every team (also including Tulane,Memphis and SMU) that left for the AAC, and yet here we sat, twiddling our thumbs, waiting for something good to happen. I heard it phrased best by a long time supporter; "These other programs used CUSA as a springboard to better things. USM used it as a hammock" So yes Dawg06, you are correct. The conference sucks in part because we haven't been the USM of old in quite some time. With a road game against Troy this year, we may well lose to another Belt team. We may lose them all. Except this one game that history shows we have a 70% chance of winning. Pretty sure the other team will find a way to give us another one.
You do realize CUSA had 0 BCS teams during the BCS era 1998-2013. Maybe thats why USM won all those championships

None of those teams in CUSA ranked higher than Boise State in 2009 and went to 3 BCS Bowls like Boise. The Mouthain West and the WAC was certainly on par with CUSA during that time frame.

For the second consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has named the University of Louisiana Monroe a National University in its 2018 Best Colleges Rankings, which were released Tuesday, Sept. 12.

In February 2016, the Carnegie Classification recognized ULM as an R3 (“moderate research”) doctoral-granting institution of higher education, joining the state’s other doctoral universities (R1: LSU-Baton Rouge and Tulane University; R2: University of Louisiana at Lafayette and University of New Orleans; and R3: ULM and Louisiana Tech University). Previously, ULM was classified with the Master’s College and Universities – Larger programs (M1).

It was under the radar, but this year Louisiana Tech got bumped up to R2 by Carnegie while ULM remained the new equivalent of R3 (D/PU).

Arrived where? They had zero quality wins. ODU's win against Virginia Tech is better than the belt's entire ooc wins.
