Well you know man had Sherman cared he wouldn't have flunked out. It's not konkols fault he failed out. If Harris wasn't selfish he wouldn't have left. Can't blame Konk for a 19 year olds whimsical decision. Joniah and Christon's issues were freak things. Bracey got hurt last year and Jean this year. He only makes 500 grand he isn't a miracle worker.

Basically forget this year and last year; hold judgment until year 6 when he can conceivably recover. Actually that will be the first year without Bracey let's make it year 7. Oh look he has a few promising young guys in year 7 let's make it 8.

This would be funny except he's under contract for that long.

I really don’t mind the coaching ive seen in the home games. We can’t catch a break the past two seasons, where weve had two heart issues and two key players missing.
Overall the guys just aren’t shooting as well as they should be, especially on the road. We miss point-blank baskets sometimes.

    Seems like a mental issue.

Whether it's mental or not, good basketball players make those plays. We don't. We are definitely tougher at home but our issues come back to personnel imo.

Look at how Bracey's role changed over three years. He was leading the nation in assist to turnovers as a freshman, he has evolved into our primary scoring threat as a junior.

Again I say...that was strategic. And who gets blamed for strategic decisions? I imagine Harris would be a big help scoring the ball, but they wanted Bracey to play that role. You make your bed...

Someone asked about UTSA earlier. They have 2 soph DFW guards in their backcourt...and coach lets them ROCK! Win or lose...theyre exciting. And both have 45 point games THIS WEEK. Both averaging 20+ on the season. Thats what Konkol canNOT do. Ive said it before, he cant let go of control. And that demand to be predictable leads to predictable losses.

But why was it strategic? Bc we needed more scoring, bc he didn't have the dudes to pass to

I don't know why we keep trying to play out a proven losing strategy. Is there a substantial difference in keeping him on while he pilots the ship further into the ground?

I fundamentally disagree. If Bracey's prime directive was to set the table for Boykins and Harris, that trio couldve scored more than plenty. Add in Jean and Christon off the bench and thats plenty of shooting/scoring. Instead, the PG wanted to be a scorer too and it looked like every man for himself most times.

Nevada coach is on record as saying Harris is their best scorer and most athletic in the gym right now. If its good enough for a top 10 team...surely its good enough for LT.

    Re: FIU

I have been a supporter of Konkol, but the road woes of the last two years is completely unacceptable. In year three and four, Mike White had 10 road conference wins. Right now, we're sitting at one over two seasons. I do find it reductive to just yell, 'FIRE KONKOL!!"

If we're going to get rid of him, who replaces him? I want someone with HC experience. I was disappointed when we went cheap and hired Konkol to begin with.

Top Choice- Mark Adams TT Assistant Coach. (554-244) record as a HC at JuCo, NAIA, and Div. 2
    https://texastech.com/coaches.aspx?rc=2125&path=mbball

Second Top Choice- Larry Cordaro LSUA Head Coach (115-17) record as HC there.
    http://www.lsuagenerals.com/coach/23/1

Not a preference, but someone to look at- Greg Heiar LSU Assistant Coach
    http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle...CLID=211557092

Dark Horse- Shaka Smart if UT fires him. He should have a high buyout, so our cheap salary shouldn't deter him as much.
