Something to do on a "No Super Bowl Sunday"

One thing I'll be going to and watching while NOT watching the Super Bowl today: https://mindenstjude.com/

Spent a couple of hours at the Minden Civic Center yesterday. Bought a bunch of raffle tickets, got grandkids faces painted, ran them through the bounce houses, tasted a lot of different chili's at the big annual Chili Cook-off and saw a lot of friends. Highly recommend it to everyone on the board to check it out. Minden St Jude Auction has people from all over the world check in online, watch the broadcast and participate in the raffles. Last year in 3 1/2 days they raised over $1.5 million with 100% going to St Judes in Memphis. Highest per capita annual fund raiser in the United States!

Interesting side note: Saw WAY more Louisiana Tech gear than any of school yesterday. Easily 3 or 4 to 1...enough that it caught my attention and I started looking for other schools. Tech people are good people!

Minden St Jude Auction raised $1.64 million. Pretty spiffy!

Shame! Y'all are supposed to boycott St. Jude since the Trump Foundation was involved with it. Guess y'all didn't get the memo.

    but....

    ...well done indeed!!!
