Business Insiders Top 50 Most Underrated Colleges in America

    Look at who's at #36.

I don't know how our resident geniuses missed this story. But IMO, this is very positive for LA Tech.

PS: Yeah, I know this isn't a "football" related story. But I'm targeting our largest audience (football thread), and --except for the usual suspects complaining-- this board has been incredibly slow anyway. This thread could use a little traffic, and some good news.

I have Google email me whenever "Louisiana Tech" and "ranked" show up in the news. Always really good to see this type of thing.

I'm wondering what they mean by underrated. Case, Carnegie Mellon, Iowa, UT -- those are all pretty highly regarded schools. Now Houston might qualify though I'm not sure why I should change my mind about them. It's primarily that term often doesn't work but still some odd arrangements of schools

    Here's what they say....

While top-rated US colleges are household names, there are plenty of other, sometimes overlooked, schools that offer great educational and career opportunities. College preparation and admissions consulting firm CollegeVine assembled a ranking of the most underrated colleges and universities in the US. To compile the ranking, it evaluated several career- and outcome-based metrics for each of the schools, including cost of attendance and financial aid, career outcomes, and overall return on investment.
