This score will likely make Ferguson a late 1st round or early 2nd round pick. Last year, Alabama's OLB Rashaan Evans graded a 6.10 and ended up being drafted with the 22nd pick of round 1. Of course, other things have to be considered besides the grade.Originally Posted by Blue Dawg
Hopefully his show is good! But a 6+ looks to me like 1st round quality, as far as I can tell.
His talent and production can easily get him into round 1. The one thing that is going to hurt him is the fact that this year's pass rushing class is extremely deep and very talented at the top. Fortunately, most teams feel that you can never have too many pass rushers, so as long as the need is there and he doesn't blow the combine, he should stay in the round 1 to top half of round 2 range.

Wow! Florida Atlantic had 3 players receive invites to the NFL combine. Marshall and ODU had two each. LA Tech, Charlotte and Rice had one each.
We'll see who gets drafted.
La. Tech's Jaylon Ferguson disinvited to scouting combine
The NFL has rescinded Louisiana Tech pass rusher Jaylon Ferguson's invitation to the scouting combine after a background check turned up an off-field issue that made him ineligible under the league's policy, sources tell NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
Ferguson, the NCAA's all-time sack leader, was convicted of simple battery his freshman year at Tech following a fight at a McDonald's. As per the rules, that's enough to take away a combine invitation. The NFL told clubs last month players would be barred from the combine "if a background check reveals a conviction of a felony or misdemeanor involving violence."
Ferguson also received a public intoxication charge while in college. A potential first-round selection, teams have already begun reaching out to schedule visits. Those will increase with him not going to the combine.

I gave up on BBB because of posts like this-- Blue Dog in top ten worthless posters in my opinion--CHEAP SHOT- UNINFORMED POSTER> Yes-Skip runs clean program--idiot post infers Holtz was wrong in giving JF a scholarship --THIS WAS HIGH SCHOOL SCRAP -- guess Blue Dawg twists this to negative for Tech???? Holtz signed him, sat him out 1 year and created a "CLEAN" enviorment that turned his life around. TOOK SUCH A STUPID POST TO BLAME SKIP FOR A SILLY FIGHT FROM HIGH SCHOOL-- spent most of my youth moving from air force base to another - "fights " were normal--Alpha males come after new kid and then become buddies -- we are not talking about gun shots here ( we had a superstar who did get thrown off team for shooting a door -suspended from bowl-went on to Pros and ultimately because an incredible Christian high school coach . Came on BBB a few years ago and gave us an update. HORRIBLE POST!! No surprise ( stationed at Little Rock AFB ) Holtz is class guy

You're a great example of a "well intended" (I believe) person, who just doesn't keep up with the pace of the conversation on multiple threads, so you sometimes react irrationally to other peoples posts. In this case, Blue Dawg was being sarcastic as he was referencing another conversation most of us were having on another thread. Blue Dawg is not your enemy.
