Disagree. Roy Moore's situation was like so many others, allegations from the past. Well, I honestly don't remember all the details of that mess. Steve King was immediately removed from all committees by the Repub leadership. Now, it's up to the voters to deal with King at re-election time. Unless an office-holder is convicted of a crime, or admits to a crime, the removal from office should be left up to the voters.

I am 100% consistent on this. I despise, and I mean in the most ardent way, this Northam creep. Baby-killer! But, I do not support his removal from office except by:

    1. He resigns...which would be his choice
    2. He is voted out at his re-election bid.

*Rebuild every single building in the U.S.
“Upgrade or replace every building in US for state-of-the-art energy efficiency.”

*Will end all traditional forms of energy in the next ten years.
The Green New Deal is “a 10-year plan to mobilize every aspect of American society at a scale not seen since World War 2 to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.”

*Plans to ban nuclear energy within 10 years if possible.
“It’s unclear if we will be able to decommission every nuclear plant within 10 years, but the plan is to transition off of nuclear and all fossil fuels as soon as possible.”

*Build trains across oceans and end all air travel!
“Build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary”.

*Don’t invest in new technology of Carbon Capture and Storage, just plant trees instead!
“We believe the right way to capture carbon is to plant trees and restore our natural ecosystems. CCUS technology to date has not proven effective.”

*Mandates all new jobs be unionized.
“Ensure that all GND jobs are union jobs that pay prevailing wages and hire local.”

    *May include a carbon tax.
“We’re not ruling a carbon tax out, but a carbon tax would be a tiny part of a Green New Deal.”

    *May include cap and trade.
“…Cap and trade may be a tiny part of the larger Green New Deal plan.”

    *How much will it cost?
No estimate of the total cost of implementing the Green New deal is offered by Ocasio-Cortez.

However, as Ocasio-Cortez admits, “even if every billionaire and company came together and were willing to pour all the resources at their disposal into this investment, the aggregate value of the investments they could make would not be sufficient.”

She does provide one estimate that the cost to “repair and upgrade infrastructure U.S. infrastructure” alone will cost “$4.6 trillion at minimum.”

*How will it be paid for? Don’t worry about that.
Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t provide any insight into how the trillions of dollars in spending will be paid for other than claiming, “The Federal Reserve can extend credit to power these projects and investments and new public banks can be created to extend credit”. But as Ocasio-Cortez says, “the question isn’t how will we pay for it, but what will we do with our new shared prosperity”.

    Re: The New Green Deal

AOC sounds like she actually wants a form of socialism and communism by creating a China or Russia where people weren't allowed to travel outside of the country.
She wants to eliminate air and airplane travel within 10 years. Of course the elitist liberals would travel by plane.

    Re: The New Green Deal

I support so-called "clean" energy where it makes sense...that's "sense" in being effective and efficient. Hydroelectric, wind, solar, geothermal, clean natural gas! are all great...in specific situations.

Have you seen any of these MANY cases of a reporter on a college campus asking about this? It's comical, but it's also an eye-opener, or it should be to the loony left. A typical exchange was:

Reporter: Do you support this New Green Deal?

Student: Yeah, I think we should save the planet...blah, blah, blah..

Reporter: So you support ending air travel? That's part of this deal.

Student: What!? That's stupid! No way!

When presented with the facts, the details, the students changed their views. Some went completely 180! This shows how mind-numb too many people are, especially gullible college students. They hear some touchy-feely concept and say, yeah, I like that. Then when asked to THINK like an adult, they reject the goofy lib policies.

    Re: The New Green Deal

A Venezuelan citizen who left the crisis-stricken country in his teens for America is speaking out against socialism and the Maduro regime -- and giving a warning to anyone who may support the Green New Deal backed by liberal Democrats including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
Daniel Di Martino, a college student who grew up in Venezuela before his family left the socialist country when he was 16, said Monday on “The Story with Martha MacCallum”that his family went from flourishing in the upper middle class to making just two dollars a day under now-disputed Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and former President Hugo Chavez.

“By the time I left Venezuela in 2016 we had a blackout every week -- and I was privileged,” Di Martino told Martha MacCallum.
He said he saw parallels between what he experienced in Venezuela and the rise of socialism in America. “I hear what I heard from the socialist regime in Venezuela, ‘everything is alright.’”

He continued, “People are starving in Venezuela because policies such as the one that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez [supported] in her Green New Deal, which in reality is just the ‘red new deal’ which is just a socialist wish list, would destroy the U.S. economy and lead us into the path of Venezuela.”

Just pray they keep talking. They're setting up a Republican landslide in 2020 that will be of biblical proportions.

The worst enemies of those four might just be others with a (D) after their names. Seems fishy to me that allegations of campaign finance violations surfaced on AOC after less than two months in office.

exactly. republicans have no reason to try to stop her right now. the establishment democrats are really worried about her and the others (or at least they should be).
