Good for him. Wish nothing but success for our former athletes, no matter what form it takes.
I didn't know (or have forgotten) that he interviewed for the Raiders last year. I'm sure the pay is better and the pros fit certain folks better than college. This can't have been an easy year to be our QB coach.

Probably wants to go somewhere his experience and authority is respected and valued. Can't blame him.
4 more years!
Hell, I can see where he would think coaching Jmar one more year could sink his career.
I wouldn’t want to coach a player that ignores me or rolls his eyes at me on the sideline.
I wonder if this is more of a chance to further his coaching career. It appears as though HCSH has him somewhat pigeonholed, there was really no reason not to have tried Rattay at OC. After all, he hired a baby for DC, and that worked out okay. OC Todd Fitch is way over his head.

1998 was the year I got heavy back into Bulldawg Football. Hadn't had the time for many years. But it was a watershed year and getting back to being around Louisiana Tech was a huge real good thing!
Oh man.....THAT was exciting to watch. We had some GREAT receivers back then who just didn't like to be tackled. #16 (Troy Edwards), #15, #9 (Delwyn Daigre?), #8 (John Simon?)....the list of great playmakers just goes on and on. Those WR's turned average pass plays into BIG PLAYS with outstanding "runs after the catch".
Look at these "average plays" by our WR's & TE's. Every one is in double digits!

Yep, another Louisiana Tech Coach moves up.
Read “Redskins Name Tim Rattay As Quarterbacks Coach” at https://www.redskins.com/news/redski...terbacks-coach
We may get him back some day, but not while Holtz is at EllAye Tech under achieving with a horrible QB.]
Where are all the "fans" who thought Rattay was the problem with our QB?
Tough situation. I hope Tim does well. However, I'd never want the Redskins to do well. Hope it can work out that way.
Even then, whats that got to do with this?
He is dead to me now...
