Looks like rain may move out mid-day Saturday.

If we didn’t have field turf we’d already be canceling the weekend series I think

Don't see how they could have done much else. Hopefully this stuff gets past Ruston by noon Saturday and the rest of the weekend is pretty weather.
Tied up 3 apiece after 5.
I don't agree with the coach of the bunt sign to Young. He is possible the best Tech baseball player since 1994 at getting on base. He has already doubled off the wall, let him swing it. He may walk...

A very unaccomplishing day today. I was really disappointed with some of our at bats. In at least a couple of cases they were simply horrific. Although it’s early in the year there are some adjustments that absolutely have to be made in the batting order.
The game’s final moment of truth came in the bottom of the 9th when the Troy coach intentionally walked a Tech batter to set up a 2 out, 1st and 2nd bade force while facing a Tech batter who had gone 0 for 3 with runners in scoring position. After his at bat he was 0 for 4 on his 3rd strike out of the day and had left 6 runners on base. As much as the Troy coach coached well to pile the pressure on a Tech bat that hadn’t performed on the day, Burroughs’ failed to see the billboard writing on the wall of what was likely to happen. Chalk this sad loss up to Burroughs who got caught coaching with heart and hope over logic.
I agree, but even then he hit a perfect bunt, did his job, and the base running error cost us an out. We had the one hole standing on 2nd with no outs. then we get outs 1 and 2 on bunts with one being the lead runner. That's bad. Base running errors cost us the game IMO.
Troy's pitching was very good.
Once again the home plate ump was inconsistent and cost us runs in the top of the 1st.
Troy's coach had enough brains to take out the pitcher after the 2nd inning. Why doesn't Tech's coach have enough brains to do the same?
