Base running blunders cost us enough runs to win game 1 & 3
Starting pitching was better except game 3
As long as we continue to win 5 out of every 7 we’ll be ok

I thought starting pitching was ok in game three
Defense was the issue - while I love T Young's bat, moxie, and baseball skills in general - if he is the best we have at SS we will be medicore at best in the infield
Our official scorer was very generous yesterday - the infield should of had 2, possibly three more errors
Bailey pitched well enough to win the ball game - defense and base running let him down
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Except for the shot he gave up, I thought Logan pitched serviceable - the defense behind him was VERY BAD - which led to a high pitch count
Robinson made a bad error in right - which allowed basically two runs
T Young should of been charged with an error when he went to third on a late throw instead of checking the runner and getting the sure out at first
Then the pop up that was allowed to drop in shallow left that should of been caught
And that doesn't take into account the base running errors that potentially took us out of big innings
Bailey should of left in a tie game - no worse than a one run deficit
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
The base running errors really bother me.... had plenty enough of them last year for this year. We have too many giys thrown out at home.

The play at third was executed. The lead runner on third was dead after a fake to first. The 3rd baseman dropped the ball. E5
Base running errors are common with our coach. He put a new guy at 3rd last year, but we are still making mistakes. Some might say the over slides are not mental errors, but we are not supposed to do that on our field.
Young actually played pretty well last year at 2nd. Perhaps he needs to move back. Of course who would play SS if Wells isnt a good option. SS gets the majority of infield touches so he has to be your best infielder. Young and Wells gotta be in the lineup both too good at the plate. Hmmmm......
If it was up to me, I’d stick with Young at short for now. I think he’ll get it soon enough. In the long term I think Tech is better with him there for his remaining years over a new SS this year and probably next year too.
