after seeing the halftime score I must admit I lost interest. what happened in the 2nd half?

They decided to play-second half was way more fun!

Played defense much better in the second half and had decent offensive rhythm instead of taking ill-advised shots

Mo and Pemberton really played well in the second half

There was a lot of bemoaning the officials, but except for two phantom calls on Duruji I thought they called an acceptable game

We really pressured in the 2nd half and ended up forcing 21 turnovers and had 10 steals

Led 2-0 out the gate then didn’t get the lead back until about the 6 minute mark in the 2nd half

I watched the Tech bench closely tonite, X and DJ really play the roles of additional coaches, they are into the game from the tip just as if they were playing and it’s just not rah-rah stuff, they helped take Smart and Duffy out of the game tonight in the second half by giving some tips to Langston and Pemberton

I think this team is a lot tighter and close-knit than most of us are willing to give them credit for

Honest question here, since I haven’t seen much of the team this year. What is the reason for the so-so record this year. Inexperience, lack of talent, lack of depth, coaching etc. if they really are playing for one another then what seems to be our issue?

We lost our two captains and starters in Xavian Christian and Deric Jean after the first 10 games or so. We have been a little thin ever since and been forced to play some guys in larger roles than we would like. Jean was our best 3 point shooter, lock down defender, and our only senior. Christian was a one of a kind player on our team and started out shooting very good from everywhere. Powell has regressed this season after a fast start and we are not real big in the post. That has cost us a game or two, but we have been playing 7 guys heavily most of the season and that is tough.

That was a very heart stopping game! What a great comeback. I got home in time to watch the second half - thank goodness, I was just getting score updates in the first.
