That's a fair assessment.
When will CUSA's "most consistent team" win the conference?
We've all been asking that question. Of course, we get bashed for daring to ask it by our resident Sunshine Pumpers.
The short term answer is: when we have a real QB. And in the bigger picture: when our coach gives a damn about winning it.
Jeff Driskel was a real quarterback . That doesn't leave many other area's to be the problem.
Don't we get a trophy for being the most consistent team? I think Rice and UTEP are pretty consistent, too.

Tech part starts around 18:20.
Complimentary, but some fair criticism. Nothing we don't talk about a lot here (good and bad) but it's always interesting to listen to national perspective on Tech.
They reviewed the bottom of the conference last week, hitting the middle here, so if you want some analysis of the whole conference it's worth listening to the whole thing.

What's wrong with this picture?"2018 C-USA power rankings, where more than half the conference is a contender"
Are you a Conference USA team fielding a football team? Congrats, you might win it! (Except you, Texas schools not named North Texas.)

He called Smith an exciting high upside, low downside quarterback. I quit reading after that. We will have to have some serious luck on our sides to get to 6 wins.
