May be a long weekend at home against USM with our pitching
Louisiana Tech University

This morning was one of the extremely rare times that I'VE been able to claim a win over the SEC fans at church. Almost never happened when I was in Monroe that's for damn sure.
But I was talking with one of my older friends before he headed out for the third game. He was pretty impressed with Tech overall and with the coach especially. I said "You must see something we dont."
Not sure he's still impressed after we got pasted.
Damn. An 11-0 beat down. Looks like our guys quit today. I guess they were satisfied with winning 1 out of 3 this weekend.
We will know after the 17th if we still have any hopes of making a regional.
Didn't see it, so I can't say what happened, but many times players that think that if it's underneath the padding, then raise your hands and it's a dead ball (runners are placed, not necessarily a G.R.D.) but in fact, the ball must be PINNED under something (or in small ball terms, rolling under/through the fence)
I saw it and it was pinned under the bottom. Netterville raised his hands as he should but once he realized the Ump wasnt gonna call it dead, he was able to pull it out. That call and the foul ball fisaco in the first game were just bad calls. Interestingly none of the weekends controversial calls went against Arkansas
The ball pinned under the padding was no longer dead when Netterville pulled it out, so the play was ruled correctly. The umpire making or not making a call was not cause to pull the ball out. The crew would have awarded a ground-rule double per the rules once it was determined that the ball was actually stuck. Burroughs said as much on the Saturday postgame show and did not argue the call.
