Should Tech play in a Buy In Post Season Tourney

Legit question I think. We are 20-13, even though the season was marred with cursed injuries and not so hot coaching. We have no Seniors. Would a post season buy in tourney help us next season? Marshall is in and possibly UTSA. Would it help us, or should we work harder in the off season?

    Thoughts?

No! waste of money. Guys should spend their own time practicing FT shooting.

If Konkol wants to play, make him pay for everything out of his own pocket. Otherwise, no.

If coach thinks he we need to play and we have a donor that will pay for, then sure

^^THIS! I seriously agree with this. Especially the "free throw" part. Anybody that shoots 38% from the free throw line in their conference tournament needs to stay HOME and practice shooting free throws.

If there is a donor willing to give enough for us to pay to play they need to save their money or give to a more worthy cause. This team paying to play when they are only 7-8 deep and can’t hit free throws is a waste. I am not knocking these guys other than the low FT%. I think playing short handed all season they gave it a good run, however 6-7 more free throws a game made and they probably are dancing right now.

Donations should go toward something more productive. As stated before, if Konkol wants it Konkol can pay for it himself.

How would this help us for next season? I'm open to opinions but I don't see it as of now.
    Have you considered those Dogs?

I don't think the pod play really helped this year with only ODU going to the NCAA/NIT. Marshall, FAU and FIU are in the CIT. Southern MS and UAB are in the CBI. Tech is staying home.

No - but this stance makes us all not "true fans"....

Money would be better spent elsewhere -

It should be an interesting offseason in Ruston

BTW - CUSA as a whole continued to get better as a basketball league

13th this year - Just behind the A-10

Ahead of the Missouri Valley, WAC, MWC, Sun Belt, Colonial and OVC...

Talking heads around here don't want you to know that - but the teams overall are getting better top to bottom
