Tech loses the home series to North Texas 2 games to 1. The key was blowing an 8-0 lead in Saturday's series opening 10-9 loss.
Tech pitching was supposed to be a strength but allowed 17 runs in the 3-game series.
North Texas is now 7-2, UTSA is 6-3, and Tech is 4-2 in the West Division standings.

Nice bounce-back sweep at UTSA. Tech won 13-1 in 5 innings and 13-7 Saturday, and 11-2 in 6 innings Sunday.
North Texas still leads the West at 10-2 while Tech is now 7-2. UTSA fell to 6-6.
Remaining conference series for Tech are home vs Charlotte, home vs UTEP, at Marshall, home vs WKU, and at USM.
Tech finished the sweep of Charlotte to pull even with North Texas in the West standings, but Tech does not hold the tiebreaker. Home vs UTEP, at Marshall, home vs WKU, and at USM left.

Tech swept UTEP in Ruston, but not without needing two 7th inning comebacks. North Texas was only able to win the first of three against WKU in Bowling Green.
