And let's not forget the days of Wabash College, Belhaven, Ark Tech, Wiley, US Intl and the like during the 80s....
Most of these were under Russo, some under Eagles
I'll repeat - we have NEVER had good OOC schedules at the TAC or in Ruston
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Specifically, have we EVER had a more craptastic out of conference home schedule than we had this year?
Really? Most bullshit schedule ever. If I could drop my season tickets any further I would.
As a reminder:
Union
Sam Houston
Harding
Tougaloo
Houston Baptist
Prairie View A@M
Mississippi Valley
Texas A@m Corpus Christi
Cedar Creek would have been .500 with that schedule.

Is that worse than -
McNesse, Nicholls and Centenary (3 home OOC games)
or
USM, Ouachita Baptist, Jackson State, Centenary or Texas Southern?
Just saying there ain't a plug nickel in difference in my book...
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Konkol has alot of faults and short comings which are well documented -
His OOC home scheduling - is no worse than his predecessors and maybe slightly better than some of them - that's all I'm saying
And I personally dropped my order from 7 season tickets to 5 of them - not because of the "names or lack there of" on the schedule - but the continued gouging of the season ticket holder by the administration instead of having a strategic marketing promotions plan

Yep...

No way there has ever been worse. McNeese and Nicholls would have been 2nd and 3rd in quality this year and you know it.
Don’t defend this crap.
I had to go back to 2010-11 to find a better home OOC schedule.
vs Austin College, Houston, SMU, ULM, UTA
Houston had finished 7th the prior year in the old CUSA and SMU had finished 8th, both with losing records overall, but their name recognition beats out past schedules.
Mike White wanted more home games, but given the budget, he could only afford a certain caliber of opponent unless another mid major is willing to do a home and home, but those opportunities are limited.
Before that, our average number of OOC games was a little less than 4 per season. So we've always played crap at home...it is just now we have more crappy games to enjoy.
Roundball is the ONLY additional sport that COULD turn a profit... but we have the 4 stooges calling the shots
... but at least we kicked some ass in Costa Rica baby!
